Research into Target Audience


My audience have been established through the magazines I have analysed. The target audience I am researching into are female teenagers who are 16 and above. The images are of famous pop singers and they are mid shot camera angles. It shows their body positioning which shows the way they are behaving. They mid shot shows their clothing which emphasises their personality and their lifestyle. I have analysed the front cover of a Billboard magazine which contains a famous teenage female singer on the front cover who is Miley Cyrus. Therefore, my target audience will be aimed at female teenagers who are 16 and above. This will engage the target audience because it will enable them to be interested in the magazine and want to know what the article inside the magazine is on. The successful artist on the magazine front cover which will inspire them. The magazine adresses how the teen pop star came to fame and what her life was like before she was famous. Therefore, for the article inside my magazine it will be based on how the young artist is going to become more successful and what her background life was like before she was under the spot light. This will allow the target audience to relate to the article because it might appeal to them if they are willing to become a successful pop artist and how they might go about it. Therefore, the article can help inspire and motivate them to do this and it will give them sugesstions on becoming a artist. Moreover, the colours of the magazines I have analysed consist of pink, white and black. These are colours that appeal to teenage females as they are bright and bold colours.
